How do I buy a knife?
There are two ways we sell our knives:
1) Our custom order process entails having a detailed conversation in order to tailor the knife to your hand and use. To begin the custom order process, a $100 design fee that cements your place on our custom order list and covers the design process. This amount is per order, not per knife and is not subtracted from the final cost of the knife or knives that you design. Luke and David will then get in touch to begin designing your knife with you.
Once the design conversation is complete, you may contact us any time during the waiting period if you have additional thoughts. One month before your forge date, we will contact you to confirm the order and design details. Once the knife is finished, we will send pictures for your approval and settle up for the balance.
If, after paying the custom fee, you ultimately decide not to put in an order with us, this fee is completely refundable.

2) On the first Monday of each month at noon EST, we have a sale of 25-35 knives using a lottery system. At noon EST, we will send out a link to the sale to our newsletter subscribers. The sale will be open from 12:00pm - to 8:00am the following morning, during which time you can submit your email address for as many knives as you would like. We will then randomly select a customer who will receive first right of purchase for each knife (one knife per customer), and we will contact the winners the following day.

What is the price range of your knives?
Our knives range from around $200 for our smallest knives to $1200+ for our largest and most complex. If you send us the edge length and knife style you're considering, we can give you a more accurate quote. Contact us here.
What is the design fee?
The customization fee is an initial payment of $100 that secures your place on our forge list and covers the process of designing and fitting your knife to your hand and use. This payment is per order, not per knife and is in addition to the final price of the knife or knives that you design.
Can I change the design or numbers of my knives while I wait?
Yes, you may add or subtract a knife or change the design of your knife during the waiting period. Large additions to an order may not be possible, but we will discuss this situation on a case-by-case basis.

Do you make stainless steel knives?
No, we make our knives by a hand-forging process that does not work well with stainless steels. Instead, our process appreciates the functionality and aesthetic qualities of excellent carbon steels.
Are the knives in your galleries currently available (or, do you have knives currently available for purchase)?
No, the knives in our galleries are examples of past work and represent the many different styles of knives we are capable of making for you. We design each of our custom knives with a specific customer in mind.
