For our Pay It Forward this month, we are offering this 3.75" Cherry Turquoise Belt Knife in support of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, a nonpartisan group focused on protecting wilderness, conserving wild places, and increasing access for hunting and fishing in the United States.

Here is a message from Luke: As a trained ecologist and avid hunter, fisher, and forager, I have been very happy with BHA’s efforts to protect, maintain, and improve the wildlife habitat and wild places that we still have in the United States and how BHA helps people have a voice in environmental protection. I am so thankful that in the past our leaders had the foresight to value wilderness and wildlife, and I appreciate organizations like BHA that are helping conservationists be heard in our federal and state governments and draw attention to the bills that are being put forward both for and against hunter and fisherman access and habitat protection. 

Here in Georgia where the human population is high and land is valuable and heavily used, it is such a gift and blessing to be able to spend a day in wild places like this mountain covered in rime ice a few weeks ago while hunting pigs and near where my 12 year old son got his first bear. My hope is that future generations will still have opportunities to interact with wilderness like I have been able to no matter what their economic status.
